The Home Stretch is the Hardest

I’m not a runner, but I understand that once you get the finish line in your sights, you get a rush that propels you to the end even if you’re exhausted.

I thought maybe the same thing would happen with this “clean the studio” project.

I have the finish line in my sights.

I started here:

…and I’ve worked my way to here:

In the process I emptied all these boxes and found permanent homes for everything in them.

Most of the crap very important stuff got filed, and some even found its way to the garbage bin. Not much, mind you, but some. And really, it looks a little better than it actually is. Not shown are the cling stamps that aren’t quite filed properly, and a bin of paper that still needs to get sorted and put into the appropriate containers. But I’m close. So VERY close. And when I’m done, it will be the best clean out I’ve ever done in there!

And now I’m running out of steam.

In the grand scheme of things, I could probably toss most of it and never miss it. I am SOOOOOOOO tempted.

But a little voice in the back of my head is screaming “NO!”

So, I’m trying hard to listen up and not take the easy way out. I really, really want to finish it up today, but I’m feeling like a marathon runner whose legs have suddenly turned to cement.

I need cheerleaders on the sideline to encourage me (or someone with a whip!)

Come on, Janet…you can do it!
