Sister Time

This past week has been filled with sister time for really the first time in my adult life.

We have lived very different lives, my sister and I, and little of it has been lived together.

Interestingly enough, finding ourselves without parents has given us a greater desire to be a bigger part of each others lives.

She came up to visit for a week. We ate good food, drank good wine (and margaritas!) watched a multitude of tv shows we have in common, and I introduced her to the joys of Downton Abbey. We sorted through old pictures of ourselves as children, wandered around town, and ended our visit with a trip to San Francisco. It was a good visit, and she felt spoiled enough to consider it a vacation!

I’m so glad to have her back in my life. We’re not getting any younger! Now to figure out how we can do it again, sooner rather than later!
