Ready for a laugh? You know how yesterday I couldn’t get the pictures from our yummy dinner to load? Well, as it turns out, we went back again tonight and had the very same things, and the photos are loading this time.
We had great home made breadsticks with peppered butter, 4 different bruschettas (all delish!) and a fabulous pinot gris blend wine for starters.
For our main course we had gnocchi. I’ve never been a big fan of gnocchi, but based on my daughter’s recommendation we gave it a try. It was incredibly good – light, fluffy…and the sauce? Unbelievable! Just an amazing entree!
And dessert? Triple Pot de Creme – a luscious custardy bottom topped with chocolate ganache and salted caramel. There may have been a few obscene noises involved.
So what does this have to do with green frogs? Not a darn thing. Today had no green frogs in it. Well, not for me anyway. Mr. Tattered volunteered to watch all three grand kids so me and my sister could have some alone time. and I think he was scared going into it, but he did good! I guess that qualifies as a green frog for him!
Us girls had a mani/pedi, went to Starbuck’s, bought some Stampington magazines (again) ate lunch at Johnny Garlic’s, wandered around old town Folsom, and had a duplicate of the one of the best dinners ever! Not a green frog in sight!
Oh, well. Maybe I’ll tackle two one of these days to make up for it!
